After the 6-3 setback at the hands of the Houston Astros on Monday, the path for the Rangers to make the playoffs just got significantly more narrow.
Already two games behind the Astros, the loss put them three games out of the final American League wild card spot and puts the pressure on the team to win at least one of the remaining two to stay within shouting distance.
Realistically, the Rangers need to win both to stay in the thick of the postseason race, as they haven't gotten much help from their rivals over the past week.
