Down East won 8-4 in some very low-A action, as they had just 5 hits and struck out 14 times, but benefited from 7 walks and 4 errors by the other side. 2020 2nd rounder Evan Carter, the most polarizing prospect in the system, had five plate appearances and didn’t put the ball in play in his pro debut, walking three times and striking out twice. Luisangel Acuna and Dustin Harris each had a double and a walk, Antonio Cabello had a home run, and catcher-turned-DH Jose Rodriguez had a hit and two walks.
