Milwaukee Brewers take flyer on former Texas Rangers journeyman pitcher

The Brewers have signed former Rangers righty Gerson Garabito to a minor league deal with a non-roster invitation to big league camp, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy.

Garabito, 30, made his MLB debut with the Rangers in 2024. Across 18 outings (two starts) in his rookie season, Garabito posted a 4.78 ERA (5.29 FIP) with 22 strikeouts and 12 walks in 26 1/3 innings. That year, the Rangers optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock five times.

He was also optioned to Triple-A three times in 2025 before being released in mid-June.
