Mickey Callaway, former major league pitcher, Cleveland Indians pitching coach and New York Mets manager, has been hired as the Anaheim Angels pitching coach, per multiple reports.
Callaway, who pitched for the Angels and Rays in the big leagues, as well as logging 33 innings in 2003-04 for the Rangers, joins manager Joe Maddon as well-regarded new additions to the coaching staff of the Angels. Callaway was a minor league pitching coach for the Cleveland Indians in 2010-12, then was the Indians’ major league pitching coach from 2013-17.
