Michael Pineda, Minnesota Twins agree on 2 year deal, per report

MLB Rumors: Michael Pineda and the Minnesota Twins have agreed on a 2 year deal worth $20 million, per reports on the Tweetbox.

Pineda, who turns 31 in January, put up a 4.01 ERA and 4.02 FIP in 146 IP for the Twins before being suspended late in the season for a violation of MLB’s Performance Enhancing Drug policy. Pineda will miss roughly the first week of the 2020 season as a result of that suspension.

Pineda has been dogged by injuries in his career, and missed much of 2017 and all of 2018 due to Tommy John surgery, but has been a decent starting pitcher when he’s been on the mound.
