Matt Hicks sidelined after positive COVID-19 test

Matt Hicks, part of the Texas Rangers radio broadcast team, has tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced today, and thus is sidelined from the broadcast for the time being. In addition, Eric Nadel, Hicks’ partner on the radio, is self-isolating due to being exposed to COVID-19, and will not be on the air for this weekend’s series.

Taking the place of Nadel and Hicks will be Jared Sandler for this series, with David Murphy joining him tonight, per T.R. Sullivan on Twitter, and Mark McLemore joining him Saturday and Sunday.

Best wishes to Hicks, who we hope makes a speedy recovery.
