The Texas Rangers have activated first baseman Nathaniel Lowe from the 10 day injured list. To make room for him on the active roster, the Rangers have designated first baseman Jared Walsh for assignment. In addition, the Rangers have placed catcher Jonah Heim on the bereavement list. To take his place on the active roster, the Rangers have recalled catcher Sam Huff from Round Rock.

Lowe has been on the injured list since the start of the season due to a strained oblique muscle. Originally, it was said that Lowe would spent 2-3 weeks on a rehab assignment before being activated.
