Kela to Padres, per reports

Keone Kela and the San Diego Padres have agreed to terms on a one year major league deal, per reports. No word on dollars as of yet.

Kela, 27, is a righthanded reliever who was originally drafted by the Texas Rangers out of Everett Community College in 2012. He broke camp with the team in 2015 and had a strong rookie year and a strong 2017, sandwiched around a bad 2016. In 2018 Kela was dealt to the Pittsburgh Pirates near the deadline for Taylor Hearn and a player to be named later who ended up being Sherten Apostel.
