Justin Turner returns to Dodgers

Justin Turner and the Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to terms on a two year, $34 million deal with a third year club option, per reports. This puts an end to the least suspenseful storyline of the offseason — “Where will Justin Turner end up?”

Turner, 36, has been with the Dodgers since 2014. Prior to that he had a pedestrian career, and has been around so long he was once traded with Ryan Freel from Cincinnati to Baltimore, and I’m pretty sure no one has even thought about Ryan Freel in a decade. They were traded for Ramon Hernandez, who you might remember as being the starting catcher on the turn of the century Moneyball A’s teams.
