OAKLAND -- The offensive blitz that the Rangers had been putting on since the All-Star break has grinded to a halt against the A's improvised starting rotation.

This time, it was left-hander Brett Anderson who flummoxed the Rangers by holding them to one hit over seven scoreless innings in the A's 6-0 victory on Tuesday at the Coliseum. The Rangers, who had two hits, were shut out for the second straight night after managing only three hits against Mike Fiers and two relievers on Monday.
