It could be a simple one back to the closer's role he began the season in, or one as a high-leverage reliever regardless of the inning, or even as a multi-inning closer. Before Thursday night's game against Baltimore, Woodward alluded to all three options.
"Him being open to all that has really impressed me because the kid just wants to win," Woodward said. "When he was struggling early in the year, he revealed himself and how quality of a person he was because he was like 'I'm letting the team down.
