Jonathan Hernandez placed on the disabled list

Texas Rangers prospect pitcher Jonathan Hernandez was slated to start last night for the Frisco Roughriders, in what would have been his 23 start of the season, and his 13th start for Frisco. Instead, however, he was a scratch, and has been placed on the minor league disabled list. It sounds like it is largely precautionary, and is not a major issue, but this likely means his season is over, with the final regular season game for Frisco being Monday, September 3, 2018.

If his season is done, its been a generally successful one for the 22 year old righthander who was added to the 40 man roster last offseason.
