The Rangers have announced that RHP Jon Edwards has been sent to San Diego as the PTBNL in the Will Venable trade
The Texas Rangers have announced that righthanded reliever Jon Edwards has been sent to the San Diego Padres as the player to be named later in the trade that sent outfielder Will Venable to Texas.
It was reported yesterday that Edwards was the PTBNL, and would be sent to San Diego once he cleared trade waivers. The Padres also received minor leaguer Marcus Greene as part of the deal.
With Edwards going to San Diego, the Rangers' 40 man roster now stands at 39.
