John Wetteland has been arrested on sex abuse charges, per multiple reports. He was booked in Denton County jail on the charge of continuously sexually abusing a child under the age of 14, and was released on $25,000 bond.
There’s little for me to add to this. Wetteland, of course, was a terrific relief pitcher for 12 years in the major leagues, the final four of them for of them as the Texas Rangers’ closer. He’s spent time coaching since he retired from playing.
