John Fasola, a Texas Rangers minor league relief pitcher who has been pitching for AA Frisco this season, will miss the rest of 2018 after tearing his ACL and spraining his knee in a collision at home plate earlier this week. Fasola had been working his way back from April, 2017, Tommy John surgery which cost him all of 2017.
This is bad news for the 26 year old Fasola, who was a 31st round draft pick of the Rangers in 2014. Fasola had put himself on the map as a legitimate righthanded reliever prospect prior to his surgery, and in 2018 had a 4.
