The Gold Glove Awards were given out last night, which I didn’t blog about because no Rangers were involved, although you can see the full list here.
However, I would be remiss if I did not do a post about former Ranger Joey Gallo winning his second straight Gold Glove in right field. Congrats to Joey on that.
It is kind of amusing to me how quickly the general attitude towards Gallo has changed. Early on in his career, he was viewed by the masses as a big, slow, unathletic guy in the mold of Adam Dunn, someone who could mash and draw walks but was a liability anywhere he had to put on a glove.
