Texas Rangers transactions: The Texas Rangers have recalled Joe Palumbo from AA Frisco. To clear a spot on the 25 man roster for Palumbo, the Rangers have placed Jeffrey Springs on the 10 day injured list with what is described as biceps tendinitis.
In addition, the Rangers have announced that Nick Gardewine, who was released last week, has been signed to a two year minor league deal.
Finally, Joey Gallo and Scott Heineman have both been sent to the Arizona Rookie League Rangers team to start a rehab assignment.
