Former Rangers manager and current special assistant of baseball operations for the Pittsburgh Pirates Jeff Banister recently joined the Shan and RJ show on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM] to talk all things baseball. Here are some highlights:
How much have you been able to follow these Rangers, and what are some of the things you've noticed?
Banister: "First of all, come on, I'm not going to stop following them. When you live together and spend time together and you care for people - you pay attention. I watch as much as I can, obviously I have another team that I'm a part of, but even when I was with the Rangers I still paid attention to what the Pirates were doing because when you put the uniform on, you become part of the family, you are the family.
