‘I’ve never felt like this before’: Willie Calhoun has returned to the majors sharper, both mentally and physically

What one day is just a fancy monitor for an avid gamer can, in fact, the next day become a pretty valuable tool in the remaking of a young hitter. A year ago, Willie Calhoun was addicted to video games. During his time in Nashville, he was instead addicted to video.

It has paid off.

On Friday, he had two more hits in the Rangers' 7-3 win over St. Louis that featured a seven-run second inning. He's had at least two hits in each of his three starts since being called up.
