Ian Kinsler beats out Rangers' Rougned Odor, A's Jed Lowrie for 2018 Gold Glove Award

Update, Nov. 4 (8:15 p.m.): A gold glove is headed to a second baseman who manned the spot at Globe Life Park in Arlington for years.

Unfortunately, it is not current Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor.

Rawlings announced the 2018 Gold Glove Award winners on Sunday night, and Ian Kinsler of the world champion Boston Red Sox took home the honor among second basemen.

This is the second time Kinsler has won the award. He first won it with the Detroit Tigers in 2016.

Original story, Oct. 25: Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor could realize his goal of winning a Rawlings Gold Glove for defensive excellence.
