On why the Rangers changed their policy for how they decide to retire players' numbers:
Daniels: "The Rangers' tradition had been that only guys that were going to the Baseball Hall of Fame would get their numbers retired. When Adrian [Beltre] came up, we didn't want to wait five years and that led us to have a conversation about Michael and the idea, you know, 'Why do we have this policy?
