The Colorado Rockies and former Rangers starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen have agreed to a one-year, $8 million contract with a $9 million club option for the 2027 season, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. The Rockies don't have to make a corresponding move, as they have an available 40-man roster spot.
In March of 2024, the Rangers signed Lorenzen to a one-year, $4.5 million deal. The righty posted a 3.81 ERA (5.17 FIP) with 75 strikeouts and 48 walks across 101 2/3 innings with Texas before being dealt to the Kansas City Royals in July of 2024.
