As if the three game series in Colorado weren’t unpleasant enough for the Texas Rangers and their fans, on Sunday the beats reported that, before the game, Bruce Bochy said that Evan Carter would be seeing a back specialist due to a sore lower back that kept him out of the lineup this weekend.
Carter had his 2021 season — his first full season as a professional — cut short due to a stress fracture in his back. Back issues are always scary for a professional athlete, and while Carter has not had any recurrence of back problems since then, this is something that he and the team obviously want to address and get a handle on.
