Darryl Hamilton, Texas Rangers outfielder in the 1990s, was found dead today in what is being described as an apparent murder-suicide, according to multiple reports on Twitter.
Hamilton, 50, was part of the Rangers' first every playoff team in 1996, when he was the team's primary center fielder. He played from 1988-2001 in the major leagues, and has been working for MLB Network as an analyst in recent years.
Hamilton and another woman, who has yet to be identified, were found in a home in Pearland, which is a suburb of Houston.
UPDATE -- Per the Houston Chronicle, Hamilton was apparently shot multiple times by Monica Jordan, who then shot herself.
