Danny Farquhar, Chicago White Sox pitcher, hospitalized with aneurysm

Danny Farquhar, Chicago White Sox pitcher, is hospitalized with a brain bleed resulting from a ruptured aneurysm suffered during last night’s game, per the White Sox. Farquhar apparently passed out in the sixth inning of last night’s game while in the dugout and was taken to the hospital, where the diagnosis was made. The team says that he is in “stable but . . . critical condition” currently.

This is scary stuff. Farquhar is just 31 years old, and seemingly in good health prior to this. Our thoughts go to Farquhar and his family as he deals with this rather serious non-baseball issue.
