Craig Kimbrel was cut loose by the Rangers and quickly landed with the Astros in a surprising AL West twist.
One has to wonder just what the Texas Rangers had in mind when they signed former All-Star closer Craig Kimbrel to a free agent contract and sent him to Triple-A Round Rock. The Astros are officially the third franchise he's been a part of in 2025, as he was initially signed by the Rangers when the Atlanta Braves unceremoniously released him.
