PHOENIX -- Rangers pitcher Bartolo Colon's quest to be the all-time winningest pitcher from Latin America is starting to take on a quixotic quality.
It hasn't turned into an impossible dream, but that one more victory to pass Dennis Martinez continues to elude him. Colon's fifth attempt for career win No. 246 came up short again when he allowed five runs in five innings in a 6-0 loss to the D-backs on Tuesday night. The loss at Chase Field snapped the Rangers' four-game winning streak.
Instead, Colon now has a personal five-game losing streak since tying Martinez's record June 30 against the White Sox.
