The Texas Rangers announced some placements for the 2020 minor league staffs today. Matt Hagen has been named the Minor League Field Coordinator, taking over from Corey Ragsdale, who did double duty as the field coordinator and Down East Wood Ducks manager last year, and who is the Major League Field Coordinator for 2020. Hagen managed the low-A Hickory Crawdads in 2018 and 2019.
The AA Frisco Roughriders will have former major league catcher Bobby Wilson as their manager for 2020. The 36 year old Wilson spent parts of 10 seasons in the majors, including stints with Texas in 2015 and 2016.
