Benches clear in Rangers-Astros game after Mike Napoli watches one go behind his back

HOUSTON - It was only a matter of time.

With the Rangers looking for some momentum after a poor April and Houston searching to break Texas' hold that has lasted most of the last two seasons, the possibility for tensions in the first set of the Lone Star Series was high.

And it delivered. The benches cleared in the sixth inning Monday after Houston starter Lance McCullers' zipped a pitch behind the back of Mike Napoli. Napoli took a couple of steps towards the mound. McCullers took a couple of strides towards the plate and also offered a whole lot of rhetoric as the two benches emptied and there was much milling about.
