After injuries to star players Adrian Beltre and Cole Hamels, along with underwhelming seasons from multiple bats in the lineup, the Texas Rangers finished 2017 with a record of 78-84, a whopping 23 games behind the Houston Astros in the AL West, and seven games out of the final wild-card spot.
