Anderson Tejeda out for the year

Texas Rangers Minor league shortstop Anderson Tejeda will miss the rest of the season due to a subluxation of his shoulder suffered while sliding into a base, per Levi Weaver on Twitter. The 20 year old Tejeda has been out since the end of May with the shoulder issue.

Tejeda was considered one of the team’s top position prospects coming into the season, but he slashed .234/.316/.386 at high-A, a level he was repeating while trying to convert to switch hitting, prior to the injury.

The Rangers also lost their low-A shortstop, Chris Seise, to a shoulder injury suffered sliding into a base.
