Anaheim Angels, Julio Teheran agree on one year deal

MLB Rumors: Julio Teheran and the Anaheim Angels have agreed to terms on a one year deal, per Jeff Passan on Twitter. The 28 year old righthander became a free agent after the Atlanta Braves declined his $12 million contract option for 2020, instead choosing to pay him a $1 million buyout.

Teheran was considered one of the top prospects in the game in the early part of this decade, and was part of the Braves’ rotation from 2013-19. Teheran looked like a budding star in his early 20s, but has seen his performance regress the last few years, and has largely settled in now as a league average innings eater.
