Alexy does well, Clase sparkles tonight

Tonight appears to be a bad night for the major league team, so let’s talk about some Texas Rangers minor league performances from this evening.

Emmanuel Clase pitched in relief for Frisco tonight, and needed 13 pitches to retire all 4 batters he faced in his second AA appearance. For the season, Clase has pitched 9 shutout innings, allowed 4 hits, walked 1 batter and struck out 13. Jacob Lemoine had 1.2 IP of scoreless work, lowering his ERA to a nice 0.69.

For Down East, A.J. Alexy allowed 1 unearned run in 5 innings of work, though he walked 4, while striking out 4.
