60-101 - Rangers grab win No. 60 in penultimate affair of dreadful season

The Texas Rangers scored seven runs and the Clevelanders only mustered a couple of runs.

In the final game under the stars at The Shed, the Rangers put together one of their better performances in an otherwise extremely forgettable season.

Willie Calhoun led off tonight’s contest with a dong and after the players from Cleveland tied the game in the top of the third, it was all Texas from then on.

The big blow came in the bottom of the fourth as Jonah Heim walloped a three-run homer for his tenth of the season to give the Rangers a 4-1 lead that they would not be threatened to relinquish.
