The Texas Rangers shut out the Anaheim Angels tonight and, no matter the outcome tomorrow, they have secured their first series win of the season. Also, the Rangers have finally won consecutive baseball games.
Of course, in true 2020 Texas Rangers fashion, to reach these milestones, aesthetically attractive baseball wasn’t in the cards but it didn’t have to be because the Angels appear to be even uglier in this hell year if this series is any indication.
While we witnessed the standard fare of Texas being unable to get much going at the plate, the Angels of Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Albert Pujols, and Anthony Rendon were matching zeros with the offensively challenged Rangers.
