The Texas Rangers scored two runs while the Detroit Tigers scored zero runs.
In their eighth or ninth try (I’ve lost count) in recent weeks, the Rangers have evened their record thanks to the kind of pitching we saw throughout the first half (Patrick Corbin now has a 3.91 ERA in nearly 100 innings this season, remarkably) and the clutch hit in the late innings that eluded Texas in their other attempts at squaring up their record.
Now the next hurdle is getting above .500 again for the first time since May 20.
