Following the nightmarish string of extra innings games that plagued most of this homestand, the Rangers concluded this stretch of games at The Shed with their second easy victory in a row.
A big part of the victory being easy was Nathan Eovaldi was built up enough to pitch five innings after lasting just three frames in his rehab-less return from a monthlong stint on the shelf earlier in the homestand. With more bullets tonight, Eovaldi tossed five shutout innings while allowing just two hits and a walk as he picked up his fifth win of the season.
