40-42 - Rangers fall in extras to miss out on comeback bid

The Texas Rangers scored six runs but the Seattle Mariners scored seven runs in 12 innings.

Nathan Eovaldi made his return to pitch for the first time in a month and, on a short leash, he began what became a trend all evening with the Mariners filling the bases against Texas pitching.

Seattle had 16 hits and drew five walks (and it felt like most of those came while the sun was still setting) while some sloppy defense from the Rangers also contributed to some extra bags for the M’s. Five of those hits and two of those walks came with Eovaldi on the mound during his three innings of work.
