A whole but of usual MLB nonsense happened today but then the Texas Rangers were down 7-5 — and looking likely to end their road trip with another road loss — when Shin-Soo Choo pinch hit for basically a worse-than-normal-National-League-pitcher at the plate in Jeff Mathis and slapped an eighth inning two-out, two-run game-tying single to give the Rangers a chance.
Texas would eventually grab hold of the lead an inning later on a two-out, back-to-back doubles rally from Nomar Mazara and Asdrubal Cabrera and leave Seattle with a comeback victory and series win over the Mariners.
