22-22 - Jack attacked as Rangers fall back to .500

The Texas Rangers scored four runs but the Cleveland Guardians scored seven runs.

Well, Texas has now lost six in a row and Jack Leiter is almost certainly heading back to Round Rock for the foreseeable future sporting a big league ERA (16.39) almost as high as the exit velocity of an average Rangers attempt at a base hit.

But, hey, the giveaway rings are pretty snazzy!

Not bad for a replica!

Player of the Game: Kudos to righties Jonathan Hernandez and especially Yerry Rodriguez for playing bullpen savior as the two went from a tenuous grip on their roster spots to combining to toss 6 13 innings of shutout ball (2 13 from Hernandez, 4 from Rodriguez) to at least give Texas an opportunity to try to salt away Cleveland’s big early lead.
