In this case, it is lefty Ryan Weathers out of Loretto, Tennessee. Weathers is the son of former major league pitcher David Weathers, and is a two sport athlete, and he’s part of the big recruiting class Vanderbilt has put together this spring.
Law says the Rangers are linked with athletic high schoolers, and also mentions Jarred Kelenic as a possibility, though he has Kelenic off the board one pick before Texas, when Seattle selects.
