The Texas Rangers scored six runs while the Detroit Tigers scored one run.
Leave it to the Rangers to go on a six-series losing skid only to break it against the hottest team in baseball and one with their league’s best record.
It didn’t appear likely that Texas would take this series after Tarik Skubal carved them up in the opener, but after taking their beating, the Rangers bounced back and smacked eight home runs in their two wins, including three in today’s contest.
Despite the fact that the Rangers going on a power hitting spree was a surprise regardless, that Texas did so at Comerica Park — not really a place known for being a hitters’ haven — makes it all the more impressive.
