I had already started writing a bunch of depressing things when the Rangers let a 2-0 game turn into a 4-2 deficit heading into the bottom of the eighth but then they basically equalled their run total for the season in the ensuing five-run outburst to eventually win 7-4.
Joey Gallo’s two-run oppo dong tied it at four apiece and it was Elvis Andrus coming through with a two-out, bases loaded two-run single to give the Rangers the lead and eventual victory. Also of note, Rougned Odor drew two walks in the inning to help set the table.
