18-34 - Early Rangers outburst not enough in 4-3 loss to Angels

The Texas Rangers scored three runs and the Anaheim Angels scored four runs.

The Rangers staked Lance Lynn to a three-run lead after one half inning and usually that’d be enough. Three whole runs from this offense with the front runner for second place in the American League Cy Young voting on the mound? Might as well pack it in, Mike Trout and gang.

Tonight, however, the Angels got to work pecking away at the lead and the Rangers turned off the offensive output after that first inning surge.
