The Texas Rangers scored ten runs and the Seattle Mariners scored two runs.
It took six tries but the Rangers finally got over the hump to climb back to .500 baseball today as they took a series from Mariners on Mother’s Day.
Texas starter Dane Dunning was pretty impressive, if inefficient, in his five innings of work as he allowed the two Seattle runs on six hits and three walks but he also struck out ten Mariners which blew past his former career high of eight.
When Dunning’s day was finished after 89 pitches, the score was 2-1 M’s but the Rangers bats made Dunning a winner with a six-spot in the bottom of the frame before piling on late.
