17-18 - A duo of Gallo dingers help Rangers complete another comeback

The Texas Rangers scored nine runs and the Seattle Mariners scored eight runs.

The return to the rotation for tonight’s starter Kohei Arihara might have been premature as he didn’t have it tonight. Arihara allowed five Mariners runs in 3 23 innings and left with Texas trailing 5-1.

But then Joey Gallo came to the rescue with a couple of dingers and we were suddenly in for a wild one which saw Texas come all the way back in the middle innings, have a Kyle Seager-ing almost choke them out later, start a rally led by Khris Davis making his Rangers’ debut, and then eventually a crooked number late barely held up by mere inches as Texas came away with the win when the dust settled.
