The Texas Rangers scored one run on ten hits and the Oakland Athletics scored ten runs on nine hits.
Unlike early today when the Rangers scored five runs in the first inning to put the A’s behind the eight ball in a short seven innings game, the nightcap was a reversal of fortune as Oakland plated seven runs in the second inning off a combination of Kolby Allard and Taylor Hearn.
With much less time to peck to enact John Blake’s peck-away theory, the Rangers instead succumbed to a blowout loss as the A’s just continued to pile on.
