3 Reasons Why The Texas Rangers Can Win The World Series

There's still a while to go in the 2015 MLB season, but the Texas Rangers have emerged as a legitimate playoff contender and currently hold the second wild card spot in the American League. However, we're willing to bet their hot streak could carry them a little further. Here's 3 Reasons The Rangers Can Win The World Series This Year:

Prince Fielder's dominance

Fielder has undoubtedly been the best player on the Rangers this season, and has returned to being one of the most feared hitters in the American League. He is batting .320 with 70 RBIs, though Rangers fans would like to see him hit more shots out of the park (17 homers). That will eventually come because of how good of a hitter Fielder is, and now that he's shown the versatility to be a good contact hitter as well, he's become a lethal weapon.

Additions of Josh Hamilton and Cole Hamels

The Rangers weren't considered to be World Series threats at the start of the season - especially with Yu Darvish out for the season - but their acquisitions of Hamilton and Hamels has put them among the best teams in the American League. Hamels has gone 1-1 in his four starts with the Rangers, but his 3.82 ERA and 160 strikeouts show how dominant he still is, while Hamilton has has success while dealing with various injuries.

If both guys are healthy, they'll have a huge impact down the stretch and in the postseason for Texas.

Who's Going To Stop Them?

The Astros are unproven, the Royals' offense likes to play hide and seek, the Angels have the stink of impending disaster wafting off of them for some reason, and we're not buying into the Yankees or Blue Jays squads holding down the fort all the way into the fall. The door is wide open for them in the American League, and the Rangers plan to take advantage.
