Texas Football Recruiting Roundup: Longhorns Strongly Pursuing Pair Of Offensive Linemen

The Texas Longhorns are in the midst of spring practice in preparation for the 2016 season, but that doesn't mean head coach Charlie Strong & Co. have taken a step back on the recruiting trail. Here are all the latest news and rumors surrounding Texas recruiting:

Four-star OL visiting Texas
Four-star offensive lineman Chuck Filiaga (Murrieta, CA) made an unofficial visit to Texas this weekend. He received an offer from the Longhorns a month ago, and he's one of their top offensive line targets for the 2017 class.

The 6'5" 330-pounder is ranked as the No. 17 offensive tackle and No. 97 overall prospect in the country. Texas, USC, Oklahoma, and Oregon are his four favorites at this time.

Longhorns losing ground with four-star OL
Another four-star offensive lineman, Edward Ingram (DeSoto, TX), is looking to make a college decision before the start of summer - and he says Texas has a long way to go to catch his leaders.

“Right now, I’m just trying to explore different campuses and see what everybody has to offer before I make my decision,” Ingram said, via 247sports. “I’ve been to schools like LSU, Texas A&M and Alabama. I know I want to go to Oregon and Colorado pretty soon and maybe some others. I honestly haven’t thought about planning a visit to Texas. I really can’t imagine myself at Texas. I’m not really too interested right now. I’m just not feeling them right now.

“I want go to a school that wins. I want a place where I know we’ll be going to bowl games. I also want to go to a school that has great academics. Those are probably the two biggest things.”

The 6'4", 325-pounder is ranked as the No. 7 guard and No. 175 overall prospect in the country.
