Texas Football Recruiting: Longhorns Make Final Group For Pair Of Top Targets

The Texas Longhorns are turning up the heat on the recruiting trail during the offseason, and it's already paying dividends. Here's all the latest news and rumors surrounding Texas' recruiting efforts:

Texas in top 10 for 5-star DT
Five-star defensive tackle Marvin Wilson (Bellaire, TX) released his top 10 on Saturday, and the Longhorns made the cut:

Texas is thought to be behind Alabama, Florida State and LSU for Wilson's services, but the Longhorns are making a strong push and should get one of his official visits this fall.

The 6'4", 330-pounder is ranked as the No. 1 defensive tackle and No. 3 overall prospect in the country.

4-star WR puts Texas in top 6
Mannie Netherly, a four-star wideout from Crosby, TX, revealed his top 6 schools on Twitter. Unsurprisingly, the Longhorns made the cut:

Netherly had previously committed to Texas A&M, but decommitted when an Aggies assistant coach went on a Twitter rant after five-star QB Tate Martell decommitted. He took an unofficial visit to Texas last month, and they are considered to be one of the favorites to land him, along with LSU.

The 6'2", 185-pounder is ranked as the No. 29 wide receiver and No. 224 overall prospect in the country.
